Deborah Mbara, a cancer survivor and Creative Director of Zazi Beauty, has spoken publicly for the first time regarding allegations that Blessing "CEO" Okoro manipulated her medical report. The revelations come after Mbara’s family reportedly threatened legal action against the social media influencer.
According to Mbara, Okoro gained her trust under the pretext of comparing cancer diagnoses. Mbara stated that during a phone call, Okoro appeared distressed and requested a copy of her medical report. Believing Okoro was genuine, Mbara provided the report, only to later discover that it had surfaced online bearing Okoro’s name.
Mbara also refuted Okoro’s earlier claims that they had never met. To support her assertion, Mbara shared a video originally posted by Okoro herself, showing the two together in Asaba when Mbara performed makeup for Okoro last year.
Following these events, Mbara claims that Okoro visited Asaba to seek her family’s forgiveness after legal threats were made. According to Mbara, her husband conveyed that forgiveness would be granted only if Okoro publicly disclosed the truth. Okoro has not done so and has since deactivated her Instagram account.
Describing the alleged actions as “evil, wicked, and demonic,” Mbara condemned the handling of her medical report and the breach of trust she experienced.
The case has attracted widespread attention online, raising questions about the authenticity of Okoro’s claims and the ethical responsibilities of public figures when handling sensitive personal information.
