President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges, including economic hardship, unreliable electricity supply, and growing security concerns.

Speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the president said his government remains focused on implementing policies targeted at supporting the most vulnerable segments of the population.

He assured Nigerians that the administration would continue to pursue initiatives aimed at easing the burden on struggling citizens.

“This is a government that truly cares. We will not relent in our efforts to move the country forward and provide relief for those facing difficulties,” Tinubu said.

Highlighting the role of energy in national development, the president stressed that stable electricity is critical to industrial growth, skills development, and overall economic productivity. He pledged that his government would prioritize improving power supply to drive sustainable development.

“You cannot achieve industrial progress or empower citizens without reliable electricity. We are committed to ensuring adequate power supply to support Nigeria’s growth,” he stated.

Tinubu also commended Douye Diri for his leadership, noting that the governor has demonstrated purposeful governance in the state.

Addressing insecurity, the president acknowledged ongoing threats posed by terrorism and banditry, while assuring Nigerians that his administration is taking steps to strengthen the nation’s security architecture.

He said efforts are underway to better equip and train members of the armed forces, expressing confidence that these measures will help restore safety across the country.

“We will confront and defeat terrorism and banditry through sustained investment in the capacity of our security forces,” he said.
