NAIP delegation to the Chief Executive Officer of Chrisoral Nigeria Ltd, Igwe (Dr.) Oranu Chris Chidume (MON), Eze Ana-Ukwu and Eze Igulube of Omor,
In a strategic effort to deepen industry collaboration and accelerate local pharmaceutical manufacturing, executives of the National Association of Industrial Pharmacists (NAIP) have undertaken a high-level courtesy visit to Chrisoral Nigeria Ltd in Omor, Anambra State.
The delegation, led by NAIP National Chairman, Pharm. Bankole Aminu Chinwuba Ezebuilo, leveraged the engagement to reinforce institutional partnerships while advocating for strengthened local manufacturing capacity as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s pharmaceutical independence.
The visit, coming ahead of NAIP’s 29th National Conference/Training, aligns with the association’s broader operational agenda to institutionalize technical excellence across the sector. During the engagement, NAIP leadership unveiled a comprehensive training roadmap aimed at enhancing professional competence and aligning Nigeria’s pharmaceutical ecosystem with global best practices.
Receiving the delegation, the Chief Executive Officer of Chrisoral Nigeria Ltd, Igwe (Dr.) Oranu Chris Chidume (MON), Eze Ana-Ukwu and Eze Igulube of Omor, as well as the traditional ruler of Omor in Ayamelum Local Government Area, expressed readiness to collaborate despite prevailing economic and structural challenges. He emphasized that strategic alliances between manufacturers and professional bodies are critical to addressing high production costs and ensuring the long-term sustainability of indigenous pharmaceutical enterprises.
In his remarks, Pharm. Ezebuilo commended the management of Chrisoral for its warm reception and reiterated NAIP’s commitment to fostering impactful partnerships that will drive innovation and industrial growth. He noted that the association has undergone significant transformation, with sustained investments in technical infrastructure and internationally benchmarked training programmes designed to empower the local workforce.
A key highlight of the visit was the formal briefing on the forthcoming 29th National Conference/Training, themed “Harmony Reloaded 2026,” scheduled to take place from May 3 to 8, 2026 at the International Conference Centre Ilorin. The NAIP President extended a special invitation to Igwe Chidume, noting that several eminent Royal Fathers have also been invited, underscoring the cultural and national significance of the event.
Describing the conference as a hub for innovation, investment, and high-level dialogue, he noted that stakeholders will engage in critical discussions on sustainable revenue models, industry viability, and emerging technological trends shaping the pharmaceutical landscape.
As part of the engagement, NAIP formally presented its Strategic Plan and Operational Roadmap for the Kwara summit, outlining a vision to reposition the annual conference as a sustainable engine for industrial growth and multi-cadre professional development.
The association further revealed that the 29th edition has been restructured to function both as a scientific conference and an intensive national training platform. Designed as a collaborative ecosystem, the programme will bring together professionals across the pharmaceutical value chain, bridging regional expertise with national leadership while promoting a unified standard of excellence.
Unlike previous editions, this year’s conference will feature structured and specialized training modules spanning Medical and Sales Representation, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Production, Supply Chain, and Executive Management. This integrated approach, NAIP noted, positions professional development as a continuous, patient-centered process essential to healthcare delivery.
The conference is also expected to host a distinguished assembly of NAIP past presidents, providing a platform to blend seasoned industry experience with modern innovation—symbolizing a strategic generational transition within the profession.
The visit to the Omor-based facility reflects NAIP’s broader commitment to institutionalizing high-quality local production through value addition initiatives. By embedding these standards into routine industrial practices, the association aims to establish a scalable and sustainable model for indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturing nationwide.
NAIP commended Chrisoral Nigeria Ltd for its demonstrated commitment to operational excellence and professional collaboration, describing the company as a benchmark within the industry. The association reaffirmed its resolve to translate strategic vision into measurable outcomes, ensuring that pharmaceutical care remains central to national health system strengthening and the advancement of patient-centered care in Nigeria.
