Yusuf Buhari, son of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At the APC House of Representatives primary election held on Saturday, Yusuf secured a landslide victory after polling 5,849 votes to defeat his opponent, Auwal Lawal Daura, who garnered 21 votes.

With the outcome, Yusuf Buhari will represent the ruling party in the contest for the federal constituency seat in Katsina State during the 2027 elections.

The APC is currently conducting its House of Representatives primary elections across various states of the federation.
