The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports that it has withdrawn the list of members of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, describing the reports as rumours.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the clarification on Tuesday morning amid reports that the ruling party had reversed the release of the campaign council’s composition.

Speaking with CEOAFRICA, Morka said there was no official decision to withdraw the list, stressing that any changes to its composition would be formally communicated by the party.

“It’s rumour. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced,” Morka said.

The clarification followed reports suggesting that the APC had withdrawn the recently unveiled campaign council list for review, amid reactions over the inclusion and omission of some party members and political stakeholders.

The APC had recently released the composition of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council as part of preparations for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

With the latest clarification, the party has maintained that no withdrawal has been officially announced, while leaving the door open for any future adjustments to be communicated through the appropriate channels.
