A prosecution witness, Dr Onuoha Okeiqwe, has alleged before the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, that he paid N69.15 million for a five-year lease on a property allegedly claimed by social media personality Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO.

Okeiqwe made the allegation on Monday, October 12, 2026, while testifying before Justice R. A. Oshodi in the ongoing trial of the defendant.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, on a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing over the alleged N69.15 million transaction. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Testifying before the court, Okeiqwe said the transaction concerned a building located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos, which was leased to Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited for five years.

He told the court that he later became concerned about the ownership of the property and contacted Blessing CEO for clarification. According to him, she dismissed his concerns and insisted that the building belonged to her.

The witness further alleged that a man identified as Mr Tom arrived at the property with police officers, who arrested some workers at the premises. He said he paid N100,000 to secure their release.

Okeiqwe also presented WhatsApp messages to the court, alleging that Blessing CEO had sent him photographs of the building to support her claim of ownership.

He added that the transaction involved additional payments for agency, legal and caution fees.

The witness maintained that Blessing CEO collected N69.15 million from him despite allegedly not being the rightful owner of the property. He further claimed that another individual had also paid money in connection with the same property.

The case remains before the court, and the allegations have yet to be proven. Blessing CEO has pleaded not guilty and remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
