Member of the Edo State House of Assembly, Natasha Osawaru, has sparked speculation about her marriage to Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, after introducing herself by her maiden surname instead of Idibia.

In a video shared on her Instagram handle, the lawmaker identified herself as “Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru” while addressing the House.

“Mr Speaker, my name is Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, member representing the very great people of Egor Constituency and, by God’s grace, the minority leader of this House,” she said.

Her introduction has attracted attention amid growing speculation about the state of her relationship with the singer, although neither party has publicly confirmed a separation.

Questions about their marriage intensified in August after Natasha made an unexpected appearance at an Abuja nightclub where 2Baba was scheduled to perform.

A video that emerged online appeared to show the couple involved in a heated exchange, fuelling rumours of possible disagreements between them.

The speculation gained further momentum when Natasha was absent from 2Baba’s 51st birthday celebration held in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The celebration was attended by the singer’s children, his mother, Rose Idibia, and several entertainment figures, including Kenny Ogungbe, Dayo “D1” Adeneye, Wande Coal, African China, Ayo Makun, Faze and Tony Tetuila.

Natasha’s absence from the gathering raised further questions about their relationship, while her use of the Osawaru surname has added to the public discussion.

However, neither Natasha nor 2Baba has issued a public statement confirming a separation or explaining why she was absent from the singer’s birthday celebration.
