Mali's Prime Minister, Oumar Tatam Ly
Following his appointment last week as the new Mali’s Prime Minister, Oumar Tatam Ly has announced the appointment of a 34-member Cabinet, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.
The new Prime Minister also announced the creation of a new department of National Reconciliation and Northern Development aims to focus on rabid development of the war zone territory.
Included in the cabinet are four women, among who is the Finance Minister Bouare Fily Sissoko, an economist who has worked for the World Bank. Also, one-time rebel leader Zahibi Ould Sidi Mohammed was given the Foreign Ministry.
These appointments would enhance development aids promised by developed nations, including the U.S.
It would be recalled that President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita was sworn in last week, after winning the country’s first election since French intervention in the internal crisis
