Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has inaugurated a transition committee that will ensure a befitting second term inauguration ceremony.

The Committee consisting of seven sub-committees including Media, Programme content, Protocol, Entertainment, Logistics , Security and Venue management also has a coordinating committee headed by the Deputy Governor-elect, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, with Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, Head of Service,  Mrs. Modupe Adekunle and Chief of Staff as members.
Amosun charged the members to leverage on their professional capacity to come up with a ceremony that will be a reference point.
        
He said the ceremony would not be elaborate given the economic situation in the country, insisting that it should be of Ogun Standard and selfless service.

“I want you to leverage on your professional capacity to ensure a befitting but not elaborate ceremony, such that would be a template for the future.

“It is not about us but the people of the state. Selfless service should be your watch word in this laudable assignment,” he pointed.
Responding, Chairman of the Committee, Deputy Governor-Elect,  Onanuga assured that members of the committee would discharge their duties beyond expectation.

The Media Committee headed by Mr. Remi Adetayo has Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Yusuf Olaniyonu, Mr. Akin Bandele, Mr. Sola Lawal, Mr. Dayo Adeneye, Mrs . Oyinkansola Cole and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Fatai Opebiyi as members.

 In the same vein, the Programme Content Committee headed by the Commissioner for Budget , Mrs. Oluwande Muoyo, as Chairman also has Jumoke Akinwunmi, GM Housing Corporation,  Former Deputy Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu , Asiwaju Bisi Adegbuyi , Chief Derin Adebiyi , Mr. Tope Kuyebi and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development , Mrs. Olayinka Kukoyi as members.

 The protocol sub-committee headed by Mrs . Yewande Amusan also has Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Dr. Tunde Ipaye, Mr. Tolu Odebiyi, Mr. Gbenga Adenmosun, Director of Protocol and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing as members.

          While the entertainment sub-committee headed by Mrs. Funmi Ajayi comprises of Mrs. Foluke Bello, Mr. Jide Odusolu, Comrade Rotimi Rahmon, Mrs. Kemi Sokenu- Morris, Hon . Dewunmi Onanuga and the Permanent Secretary, Teaching Service Commission as members.

 The May 29 second term inauguration ceremony of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led administration also has Logistic Sub Committee headed by Alhaji Teju Kareem, with Mrs. Elizabeth Sonubi, Mr. Bayo Adeyemi, Mrs. Hafsat Abiola- Costello, Mr. Gbenga Opesanwo, Mr. Lanre Sonola and Permanent Secretary, Political Administration, Remi Obayomi as members.

  Venue Management Sub-Committee for the inauguration has Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure,  Lekan Adegbite as the arrow head, Mrs. Ronke Sokefun, Architect Segun Abiodun, Alhaji Teju Kareem, Hon.  Kunle Oluomo and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr. K.A. Ademolake as members.

 The Security Sub-Committee is headed by Former Police Commissioner, Olayinka Balogun, with the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt. Hon. Muyiwa Oladipo,  Hon. Tola Banjo, Alhaji Olatunde Okewole, Mr. Patrick Akinduro , Mr . Bolaji Oyeneye and Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Security, Mr. Fagboun as members.
