U.S FRANCHISE TRADE DELEGATION TO VISIT JOHANNESBURG

The U.S Embassy’s Commercial Service in collaboration with the International Franchise Association (IFA) and Franchise Time will be hosting a U.S Franchise Trade Mission to Sub-Saharan Africa from September 26 to October 4, 2013.

According to the report, the 13 U.S Franchise brand representatives is scheduled to start their three stop tour in Johannesburg from September 26 through 28, then carry on to Nairobi before ending their business development activities in Lagos on October 4.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that the U.S companies are travelling to Africa primarily to find investor partners and to learn more about doing business in Africa.

Deliberating on the oncoming visit, Scott Lehr, IFA’s Senior Vice President for International Development and Trade Mission leader recently commented that Africa is a dynamic market that U.S franchises can no longer afford to ignore.

The delegation is however expected to hold one-on-one meetings with potential partners, also hearing from South African business and franchise experts on a range of business topics including the legal framework for franchising, the food supply chain and changing consumer trends.
