No fewer than 20 civil servants died on Tuesday in a bomb blast which occured at Sabon-Gari  Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident which occured in the early hours of the day, took place at the local goverment secretariat, when civil servants were carrying out their biometric screening.

Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai who visited the scene of the and  bomb blast expressed sadness that such a terrible event could take place in the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking with newsmen, the governor put the death toll as at the time of filing this report at 20 people.

He prayed Allah to grant the victims peaceful repose, comfort their families and heal the wounded victims.

The governor later visited the those injured athe hospital.
