The Federal Government has declared it has saved about N530 billion that would have been lost to fraudulent contractors through the robust measures put in place to check corruption in contract procurement process in the country.
CEOAFRICA news desk gathered this was revealed in Abuja by the Director-General of the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP), Emeke Eze, who also regretted the lack of sincerity by contractors in the country which had slowed down the pace of infrastructural development.
He particularly emphasized the need for sincerity in every sphere of the public service, stressing that one person’s effort alone cannot build a nation but the collective sincere effort of all stakeholders.
