ABUJA- STRONG indications emerged Saturday that Senate President Bukola Saraki would constitute an ad – hoc Committee that would screen and subsequently clear the service chiefs appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Ad- hoc Committee, the source told Vanguard would carry out the assignment in place of standing Committees which were yet to be constituted by the Senate.

According to the source, the ad- hoc Committee would be put in place to avoid a situation where the Senate would be seen as frustrating moves by President Buhari to move the country forward.

The source said, “On resumption of plenary on July 28, depending on a letter from the President, the senate president after reading the President’s letter, he will then set up a ad hoc committee to screen the service chiefs.
