67-Year-Old Nigerian Died Onboard US-Bound Flight

It was reported by the United Airlines, the Houston based carrier, that a Nigerian died onboard its flight that originated from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.

CEOAFRICA.com gathered from sources that the airline said the deceased was found on its flight 143 on arrival Monday, as it claimed to be assisting the family of the deceased with their needs.

According to information gathered by sources from Houston Police Department Homicide Division Senior Police Officer, M. Miller, the deceased was identified as Mr. Igwedike, 67 years old.

Miller was quoted to have said, “Further investigation revealed that Mr. Igwedike passed away shortly after the flight departed from Nigeria.

“The flight was then rerouted to Dakar, Senegal. After refuelling, authorities in Senegal rerouted the flight to Houston.”

“The investigation is pending on Igwedike’s cause of death,” says Miller.

Meanwhile, investigations revealed that Houston police personnel are awaiting autopsy results on the deceased.
