Despite marital hitch, popular OAP, Toke Makinwa at Oriental hotel, stepped out happy and radiant as she rocked the green lacy outfit to Fayrouz event, recently.

It will be recalled that fitness expert, Maje Ayida and His Media personality wife, Toke Makinwa has been embroiled in some really heavy family issues; from Maje impregnating his long time side chick, Anita Solomon only months after he got married to his wife and his apologies  months later.

While voicing out with a public apology in an Instagram post, Maje acknowledged his fault and promised to make things right.

“I am writing to express my sincerest apologies to my wife. I was wrong, it is indefensible and I am sorry. I deeply regret what my wife and my family has had to endure. My behaviour has caused a lot of anguish to everyone. Though this matter has been very public in nature, it is a private issue and I would appreciate the opportunity to face it privately.

“I love my wife and will make every effort to make things right @tokemakinwa.”

While a lot of people waited for Toke Makinwa to react to the public apology, the media personality simply went on with her regular schedule.

Punch’s Saturday Beats reached out to her and she declined speaking on the issue, but she however confirmed that a lot of things are currently happening – possibly in a bid to work out their marriage.

 “You have to understand that a lot is happening right now and I would rather not grant any interview or make any comment for now.”

Maje was also contacted and he also preferred to keep things private, but explained that:

“I would rather not talk about the issue now. I am not just comfortable talking about my personal life publicly. It is not something that I normally do. Most times I grant interviews it is usually related to my work. It is not something I really do and I don’t want to start doing it now especially with this issue going on. It is a private thing and part of the point of my message was to keep it private. I expressed that in the message. I would rather not talk about it. But I love my wife dearly.”

Meanwhile, it was reported that Maje and his side chick welcome their first child recently in a UK hospital and the report didn't state the sex of the new born baby.

News of Anita’s pregnancy filtered out last month, when Maje flew her out to the UK to have the baby.
