Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima
The Executive Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, while hosting the council of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) yesterday, has expressed his willingness to go back to school as soon as his tenure expire.
CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the governor said he would like to pursue his doctorate degree after he is done with the administration of the state.
“I have a Masters degree, but after the political interregnum I wish to go back and get a Phd so that one can become a true intellectual in the real sense,’’ he said.
Speaking further, Governor Shettima said though he left the University of Maiduguri where he lectured for two years, he is still passionate about returning to the school, saying he preferred being addressed as a former lecturer, although he made his money in the banking sector.
The University of Maiduguri council was led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of council, Alhaji Balama Manu.
