BNA sells over Usd 260 million to commercial banks

Luanda - A total of Usd 260.1 million has been sold by the Angola Reserve Bank (BNA) to commercial banks from July 27 to 31 April this year, Angop learned from the institution’s website.

According to the source, in the above transactions, BNA used the banking reference exchange rate of Usd=Akz 126,402.

The BNA has also released into the market Akz 4.3 billion worth of treasury bonds, of which Akz 2.6 billion in treasury bills and Akz 1.7 billion in securities.

The securities have been traded in the maturities of 2, 3, 4 and 5 years on respective interest rates of 7.0% , 7.50% and 7,77% a year.

The average interest rate for the Treasury Bills was 3.47% a year, 5.01 year with maturities of 63, 182 and 364 days, recording a variation of -0.02 percent in relations to the previous week.
