Luanda - The retired bishop of the United Methodist Church in Angola, Emílio de Carvalho, said that the preaching of God's word can turn into propaganda due to material benefit of an individual or a group eager for money or power.

The Church leader who was speaking Sunday during a lecture held by the Methodist Church of "Bethlehem" under the topic "130 Years of Evangelization, Yesterday and Today vision,"
stressed in biblical and doctrinal aspects that contribute to the development of the Methodist Church in Angola.

The church authority also considered the word teaching as a life enjoyment, understanding and justice that go beyond the gospel ethic, not a mere emotion.

The Christian social behavior, the witness, language, and disobedience were some issues raised by the leader as uninviting and ineffective to convince men and women truly adhere
to Christ.

For Emílio Júlio Miguel de Carvalho, the practice of evangelization yesterday and today remains crucial, primordial and indisputable of the church.
