Farmers of Sesfontein constituency, Namibia have lamented the brutal situation of elephants killing people or damaging properties of already suffering communal farmers.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that the case is now getting out of hand from the statement of the regional councilors of Sesfontein who is also urging the government, especially the Ministry of Environment and Tourism to come up with acceptable solutions.

In the appeal, he beckoned on that the Ministry as requested by the people to ascertain the population of the elephants, noting that they have overcrowded the farming areas causing adverse deficiency conditions.

He further appealed for fund to train the farmers on elephant behavior, adding that the constitutional right of farmers to travel is trampled upon as travelling by carts during the night exposes them to the danger of being killed by elephant.
