Kaduna State Governor, Ramala Yero
CEOAFRICA.com gathered from Kaduna State that Governor Ramala Yero has sent his congratulatory message to the new leadership of the State Assembly led by its new Speaker, Shehu Tahir.
In a congratulatory letter personally signed by the governor, the members were commended for the maturity exhibited in resolving the leadership tussle amicably.
According to him, the maturity exhibited by the members is an indication of the State Assembly’s determination in the quest for the stabilization of peace and advancement of democracy in the state.
Governor Yero assured the new house leaders of his administration’s readiness to cooperate with them in implementing policies that would help the state to develop. He then urged the new Speaker to make sure there is unity in the House so as to promote many activities that would better the lots of the people of Kaduna State.
It would be recalled that the former Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Usman Gangara, his deputy, Dr. Dogara Mato and other principal officials of the House were impeached by 19, out of 34 members of the Assembly.
Hon. Shehu Usman Tahir representing Giwa West Constituency was elected while Peter Adamu representing Kagarko Constituency was elected Deputy Speaker. Umaru Yunusa representing Lere East was appointed the Majority leader, Philemon Usman from Makera Constituency as the Chief Whip and Bala Yunus of All Progressives Congress (APC) representing ,Tudun-Wada Constituency emerged as the Minority leader.
