Territory Administration Minister Urges Dynamism InTourism

The minister of Territory Administration, Bornito de Sousa, said Thursday in Luanda the country needs to foster the domestic tourism market, "a target contained in the master plan that aims to reach over four million tourists by 2020, 60 percent of which national ".

"The Executive's targets for this sector continue to give priority to creation of training facilities," said the official, at the opening of the second edition of the National Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola (FMCA /2015). According to the minister, the objective is the creation of a network of hotels and tourism schools, as well as a significant number of skilled jobs. He added that, at this point, an inventory and cataloging of the national tourism asset is in progress to improve the management of the resources available and project the development of the hotel industry.

Over 300 exhibitors are taking part at the event, including local governments, administrative committees of cities, provincial governments, ministries and other public bodies, hoteliers and tour operators, private companies and representatives of some countries. The National Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola (FMCA / 2015) aims to promote the knowledge of the potential of the various municipalities and combat regional asymmetries in terms of development.
