There was drama yesterday at the Ikeja Magistrate court, when a suspect escaped few minutes before his matter was called for arraignment.

CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the suspect Ayo Adelaja, 33, was arrested on September 23, 2013 at about 4:30 pm, over alleged reckless driving and illegal U-turn. He was driving a Honda City Saloon Car with registration number KSF 32 BB, He committed the crime at Kudirat Abiola way, Oregun area of Lagos.

Sources also disclosed that while doing the U-turn, Adelaja damaged a Tricycle which belonged to one Baba Abba.

Adelaja’s counsel asked the investigating police officer IPO, to let him have a discussion with the defendant, only for him to escape in the process.

The IPO has ordered that the suspect’s lawyer should produce the suspect immediately he escaped.
