A Zimbabwean athlete, Luke Henri Steyn has been shortlisted in the discipline of the men’s Alpine Skiing in the Winter Olympic Games scheduled for Sochi, Russia to hold next year.
CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that this appear an honor to Zimbabwean nation as it would be their first time in the Game.
The Game however will be held from February 7 to 23, in Sochi, with participants competing in seven sporting disciplines, namely Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Curling, Ice Hockey, Luge, Skating and Skiing.
Meanwhile, the 20-year athlete who is now a year off university in an effort to achieve number of points to enable him fulfill his dream and compete on the European circuit when it opens nearer the end of the year, has already qualify for the Giant Slalom and is now working on three more results to qualify for slalom.
