NMA to honour Senate President

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) is set to honour Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki as part of activities marking its six-day National Executive Council Meeting in Ilorin, Kwara State later this month.

Dr Saraki is billed to be honoured on August 29 at a dinner to round off the weeklong meeting. The Chairman, Kwara State Branch of the NMA, Dr Abubakar Ayinla made this known during an interactive session with newsmen in Ilorin yesterday.

Dr Ayinla revealed that theKwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed is expected to grace the occasion s the special guest and the Registrar of the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria, Professor Wole Atoyebi is billed to be the keynote speaker.

He added that the event, themed ‘National Health Agenda: Purpose, Means and Targets’ is expected to have the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and the Emir of Shonga, Alhaji Haliru Yahaya as the royal fathers of the event.
