President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero.

The termination of Alhaji Bayero’s appointment is with immediate effect.

He is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr Habibu Abdullahi, who has been reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA by President Buhari.

President Buhari wishes Alhaji Bayero well in his future endeavours.

Alhaji Bayero was appointed by former president Jonathan 14 weeks ago.
