A tribute session holds at the International conference Centre, University of Ibadan in honor of the late former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu and in commencement of the burial rites

Late Agagu was formally a Senior Lecturer in the Geology Department of University of Ibadan before he embarked on the business of politics.

According the Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade statement to newsmen on Sunday, in Akure, the state is making preparation to receive the body of the former governor at the Akure Airport by 9am on Thursday.

Akinmade, who is also a member of the burial committee constituted by the state government, said there would be another lying-in-state and wake keep same day at the Civic Centre, Iju-Odo, in the  Okitipupa Local Government Area.

The ex-governor will be buried on October 4 after a burial service at the St Paul’s Anglican Church, Iju-Odo by 11am, the Commissioner said.

Governor Olusegun Mimiko had at a special prayer session for the state in Akure charged the people of the state to troop out for to honour his late predecessor during the burial ceremonies.
