
The in an effort to increase capacity on security alertness in deal dealing with criminals, the Nigerian Police has renewed a memorandum of understanding with Novena University, Ogume, Delta state.
The Force PRO CP Emmanuel Ojukwu disclosed this in Abuja that it became imperative as a result of the desire of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase to equip police officers with the appropriate knowledge to put them ahead of criminals, in fields like intelligence and security studies.
Arase received the management of Novena University led by the Director of Academic Planning, Professor A. Osakwe in his office.
The MOU, will among other things offer opportunities to deserving officers, to study security related courses at the University.
Arase also pledged commitment of the Nigeria Police to implement the MOU, as Novena University offers rare courses in intelligence studies, which is crucial in 21st century policing.
