
The Society for Peace and Practise (SPSP) has hosted its ninth edition of international conference and general assemble with the theme 'Rethinking Post Election Peace Building in Africa' at the Trenchard Hall of the University of Ibadan.
The conference had the luxury of personalities like the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Issac Adewole; the Ghana High Commissioner to Nigeria; William Azumah Awindor; the keynote speaker, Salamatu Suleiman from the ECOWAS Commission, Abuja among others.
A number of critical issues were brought to the fore as intellectuals went ahead, shedding light and lending their support where necessary on issues relating to peace building in Africa.
In readiness for the next general assembly, it was stated that the focus, which is corruption, will not just be limited to the noticeable shortcomings in the running of the three tiers of government but would also include sharp practices across the nine tracks of multi-track diplomacy metrics.
