Kwara APC Condemns Clash Of Cult Groups

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara State has condemned the clash of suspected cult groups which led to death of yet unconfirmed number of suspected cultists in Kwara State's capital, Ilorin.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party described the incident as unfortunate, condemnable and unacceptable to the peace-loving people of Kwara State.

"Kwara APC hereby registers its condemnation, without any equivocation, of the reported clash of suspected cult groups in Ilorin.

"This incident is condemnable, unfortunate and unacceptable to the peace-loving people of Kwara State.

"Meanwhile, we express our profound satisfaction with the commitments and efforts of Kwara State government and Kwara State House of Assembly towards the implementation of operation zero tolerance to cultism in Kwara State.

"We urge the people of Kwara State to complement the efforts of Kwara State government by providing information on suspected cult groups and activities of suspected cultists.

"We call on the Kwara State Police Command to investigate and prosecute the people involved in this unfortunate incident.

"The Kwara State Police Command is also advised to strengthen its intelligence gathering facilities and be pro-active in dealing with activities of cultists", the statement read.
