The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has banned some songs from airing on broadcast media.

The songs that were banned include ‘Fans Mi’ by Davido; featuring American rapper Meek Mill, Wizkid‘s ‘In My Bed’, Olamide’s ‘Shakiti Bobo’, Iyanya’s collaboration with Don Jazzy; ‘Gift,’ Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda,’ among others.

A memo titled ‘Not To Be Broadcast (NTTB) List of July 2015’ was sent to media houses in the country by the broadcasting regulatory body.

Reasons for the ban as stated by the commission include: indecent exposure, drug trafficking, violence, obscene video, among others.
