
Kenyan reggae lovers are set for a treat in October when Jamaican band Morgan Heritage will perform at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
The world-acclaimed band will be the main act at the second edition of the music event "Extravaganza" slated for October 3 at the Nyayo National Stadium. Morgan Heritage is one of the most influential reggae bands today, and in the history of the genre.
It was formed in 1994 by the five children of famed reggae artiste Denroy Morgan. They are Peetah Morgan, Una Morgan, Roy "Gramps" Morgan, Nakhamyah "Lukes" Morgan and Memmalatel "Mr. Mojo" Morgan.
In their musical journey spanning more than two decades, the group have produced 17 albums, among them the critically-acclaimed Protect Us Jah in 1997, One Calling (1998), the spiritually-inclined Don't Haffi Dread (1999), More Teachings (2001), Full Circle (2005) and their latest Strictly Roots in 2015.
