
Kenya based Basco Premium Paints has won two awards for creative excellence in advertising at the creative awards, held in Loeries Durban, South Africa.
The company came second, thus earning a silver medal among the nominees for best magazine advertisement for the Duracoat Vinyl Matt Emulsion campaign, and bronze for best digital and interactive microsite.
The paint maker had been nominated in three categories and was also among 1,024 finalists chosen from Africa and Middle East.
The awards in their 37th year cover all areas of brand communication in television, radio, print, direct marketing, digital communications and public relations. Other categories include direct marketing, communication design and integrated campaigns.
Scanad Kenya managing director Karambir Rai said the group was hoping to win with their campaign that won the silver award.
Early this year, Basco Paints launched a new paint which comes in several fragrances saying this have a better smell than the traditional paints.
