Algerian athletes Bilal Tabti and Hicham Bouchicha have qualified for the 3000m steeplechase final of the 2015 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China.

In the 2nd heat, Tabti finished second in 8:26.99, behind Kenyan Jairus Kipchoge Birech, who clocked 8:25.77.

While in the 3rd heat, Bouchicha ranked seven and qualified thanks to his good time 8:30.07.

Algeria is participating in the Beijing IAAF World Championships with 14 athletes, including the men's 1500m-gold winner at 2012 London Olympics, Taoufik Makhloufi.
