In a press released made available to CEOAFRICA news by the Oyo state Public Relation Officer (PPRO) DSP. Olabisi Ilobanafor states that “the Oyo State Police Command is assuring Oyo residents of their safty and security before, during and after the Independence Day celebration.

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP. Mohammad Indabawa gave this assurance while ordering officers and men of the Command to ensure that there is no record of criminal activities during the celebration in the State.

He directed that commercial and residential, as well as recreational areas are adequately patrolled to deter criminals from perpetrating acts of criminality.

Members of the public are enjoined to cooperate with police officers who have been deployed for their security. It is worthy of note that policemen in plain clothing too have since been deployed all over the state for optimal and hitch free 53
