Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has advised the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, to make peace with Bola Tinubu before it is too late.
Kayode said this in reaction to a brewing feud between Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode and his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola.
In the last few days, the media has been awash with different stories about how the Ambode-led administration seems to have targeted Fashola.
Last weekend, the analytic firm, BudgIT, disclosed that before Fashola left office, he approved a contract of N78.3 million from the state treasury for an upgrade of his personal website.
Days after that, Ambode revoked the concession contract to rebuild the popular Falomo Shopping Centre in Ikoyi by the Fashola’s government.
Lagos State Public Procurement Agency also published a report that Fashola spent N139m on the drilling of two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja.
Reacting to this, Kayode said: “Things are getting messier as each day passes. My advice to Fashola is to make peace with his benefactor Bola Tinubu before it is too late.”
“If Fashola and Tinubu cannot make peace they should prepare for a long war of attrition, which will end up in the destruction of them both.”
