Chad/Egypt: Cuper Names 27-man Squad

Egypt gaffer, Hector Cuper has unveiled a 27-man squad for next month's Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017 Group G qualifier against Chad in Ndjamena.

The Pharaohs will face 'Les Sao' on Sunday, 6 September 2015 in the Group G Day Two clash.

Cuper's squad is dominated by players from the country's most popular clubs; Zamalek - 10 players and Al Ahly - eight players. Only seven foreign-based made the cut for the provisional squad.

According to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), the Pharaohs are expected to resume camping on Monday, 24 August 2015 in Cairo to start preparations for the crucial encounter.

Record seven-time African champions, Egypt are seeking to qualify for the final tournament of the flagship continental tournament for the first time since 2010. They began their campaign with a convincing 3-0 win over Tanzania last June in Alexandria.

Nigeria and Tanzania will slug it in the other Group G match in Dar es Salaam.
