The Kaduna States All Progressives Congress (APC) has threatened to punish any of its members, who violate the party’s constitution.

This is contained in a statement made available to journalists in Kaduna State on Wednesday by the Acting Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shu’aibu Idris.

While giving the warning, Idris said that the party would take disciplinary measures against any erring member who violated laid down rules of the party.

Idris said the party would not be distracted from its determination to meet the yearning and aspirations of the electorate that voted its members into various political offices.

The chairman added that party discipline was necessary in order to remain focused on the task of meeting “the promises made to the electorate,”

He warned that the APC in the state would not allow any member, whether elected or appointed, to abuse the party’s laws or deviate from its manifesto.

“All executives of the party at ward, local and state levels, appointed and elected must adhere to the party’s supremacy and its manifesto.

He particularly cautioned elected executives and members of the State and National Assemblies under the party not to engage in any act that would breach their oath of office or existing peace in the state.

Idris found working against its overall interest.

He appealed to all members to unite and support each other to deliver on the promises made to the electorate.

It was reported that a crack has emerged in the party, with supporters of Senator Shehu Sani (APC-reminded the members that the party has the power to sanction, suspend or dismiss any member
