Zimbabwe/Guinea: Pasuwa Names 22-man Squad

Head coach of the Zimbabwean national football team, Kalisto Pasuwa has named a 22-man squad to face Guinea in the Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017 qualifier scheduled for Sunday, 6 September 2015 at the Rufaro Stadium, Harare.

The Warriors are joint leaders of Group L with Swaziland on three points and need to win to keep the dream of featuring at the final tournament in Gabon next year. The team is expected to commence preparations next Monday, 31 August 2015.

Pasuwa has retained some of the players who played against Malawi but has also included formidable players which include Macauley Bonne, Quincy Antipas, Edmore Chirambadare, Mathew Rusike and in form Nyasha Mushekwi.

"We are playing at home, but we should take this game seriously and be triumphant to ensure that that we qualify for the finals. Guinea is a great team and we appeal to the football fraternity and the nation for the support to help the boys' efforts," Pasuwa told the Association's website.

Swaziland will host Malawi in the other Group L clash in Lobamba also on Sunday.
