
The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad has described the demise of a member, representing Qua’pan South Constituency in the Plateau House of Assembly, Hon. Godfrey Dashe as a great loss to the North Central geo-political Zone.
The Speaker made this observation in Ilorin while reacting to the sudden death of the Law-maker. Dr Ahmad in a statement noted that the deceased had contributed significantly towards nurturing parliamentary democracy and socio-eceonomic transformation ofPlateau State.
He said the Plateau State House of Assembly would miss his elderly advice, words of wisdom, and frank contributions at the floor of the House.
Dr Ahmad condoled the Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Peter Azi, members of the State House of Assembly, his immediate family, government and people of Plateau State over his demise.
He prayed that God should grant the speaker, members and staff of the Plateau State House of Assembly, his immediate family, the government and people of Plateau State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and the deceased eternal rest.
Hon Dashe, who chaired the House Standing Committee on Tourism, died last Monday night after a brief illness.
