He disclosed this in an exclusive interview with CEOAfrica’s securing Africa crew, while speaking on security in the state.
The business man and Architect stressed that the present administration has contributed immensely to developing and securing lives and properties in the state.
“Security in Delta State has greatly improved under the present administration. Expatriates and investors at any time and any day can now visit the State without the fear of being kidnapped.
“Investors should see an opportunity in Delta State and invest like some of their counterparts.
“In Delta State, security can now be said to be 95% positive since about six to seven months now unlike the past administration where oil bunkering, kidnapping were majorly the order of the state.”
According to him, vandalisation and bunkering of oil were rampant because of the level of poverty in the state.
“Now, we have different entrepreneurial or skill acquisition programmes, which were put in place by the Governor of the state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and have helped to reduce the rate of crime to the barest minimum.”
Okuhor praised the Commissioner of Police, who he described as being efficient for a job well done. “The police force have also greatly improved in their outlook and they are doing all they can to maintain peace and security of lives and property in the state.”
He urged the police force to investigate all information given to them and keep as a secret to protect the interest of the informant to foster relationship between the police force and Nigerians.
Okuhor however, implored the State government to increase the flow of power to contribute to the development of industries in the state.
