
The Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno state, who are presently taking refuge at various IDPs camps in Adamawa state have made a sound proposal to the Federal Government to screen and select some of them to join the struggles of liberating their communities completely from the Boko Haram insurgency.
The chairman of the Informal IDPs Settlement in Malkoihi town of Adamawa state, Alhaji Idrisa Abdullahi made the appealed on Wednesday during the visits of the Country Director of OXFAM Mr Jan Rogge to the camp to supervise on-going projects and to find out the current difficulties of the IDPs with the aim to intervene.
Abdullahi said he was speaking the views of all IDPs from Gwoza, who are the majority taking refuge in various camps across the state as he said they have been convening meetings to discuss on how to assist the Nigerian troops who are making effort to liberate their communities.
He further explained that at their last meeting, they have unanimously agreed that the government should screen and select at least five able persons from each community affected by the insurgency in Gowza so as join the fight against insurgency.
