Aregbesola Tasks Sodipo On Professionalism

Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, has called on Mr Kola Sodipo, the new Commissioner of Police in the state to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of his duty.

The governor made the call on Wednesday in Osogbo when Sodipo and Mr Abubakar Marafa the out-going Commissioner paid him a courtesy visit.

He urged the new commissioner to ensure that his officers and men uphold the ethics, rules and regulations of policing.

He pledged that his administration would ensure that the Police and other security agencies were given adequate assistance to maintain peace in the state.

He added that his administration had provided the police with some equipment in the last five years.

Aregbesola commended the out-going commissioner for his quick response and capacity to curtail crisis before it happens.

In his response, Sodipo promised to do his best to keep the state secured and devoid of criminal activities.

He solicited the cooperation of the government and people of the state to enable the police fight crime successfully in the state. (NAN)
