The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly sacked its former spokesperson, Ms Marilyn Ogar, 7 years before she is due for retirement.

Mrs Ogar was told to leave the force on Wednesday through a retirement letter dispatched to her and several others by the new leadership of the agency.

The secret service former spokesperson’s fate may not be unconnected with her role in the last administration and the run-up to the 2015 election.

Ogar had been accused of alleged partisanship in the build-up to the general elections.

Severally, she addressed press conferences, which seemingly gave her away as the “defacto” spokesperson of the then ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

She was also said to have been pushed out following the weighty allegation that she was awarded multimillion naira contract to lift kerosene.
