Technical adviser of the Liberian National team; James Debbah has unveiled a 26-man squad for the Lone Stars' Group A, Day Two clash of the Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017 qualifier on Saturday, 5 September 2015 in Monrovia.

It will be the first time the Lone Stars will be playing at their favourite grounds, Antoinette Tubman Stadium in the capital, since the removal of a home ban last May due to the Ebola outbreak, and Debbah has extended invitations to 16 foreign-based for the encounter against the group leaders.

The Lone Stars suffered a 2-1 loss against Togo in the Group A opener last June and the former iconic striker is looking forward to working on the mental and psychological aspects of his players to get their campaign back on track.

In the build-up to the match, the West Africans are sweating over the fitness of first choice goalie Nathaniel Sherman, who sustained a facial injury last Wednesday. The shot-stopper was hit by a glass object at the team's hotel leaving a deep cut over his left eye and subsequently had to be rushed to a nearby hospital, making of chances of participating in the game hanging by a thread.

The unfortunate incident leaves Debbah with three goalkeepers, Saydee Swen of LPRC Oilers, Tommy Sango of LISCR and FC Fasell's Samsom Giddings, to fill the shoes of Sherman in the event he fails to recover in time for the Day Two encounter.

Midfielder Sekou Oliseh, who has joined Qatari side, Al Gharafa was named in the squad, so is veteran Anthony Laffor of South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.

Meanwhile, a 68-member Tunisian delegation including players, officials and media personnel are expected to touch town down at the Roberts International Airport in Monrovia on Thursday, 3 September 2015 for the game.

The Carthage Eagles began their campaign on a high note, beating Djibouti 8-1 for the biggest win on the opening day matches.
