Abike Dabiri to visits UI over the state of Nigerian diaspora

Former chairperson, House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, would on Monday, visit the University of Ibadan to discuss the state of the Nigerian diaspora.

This is contained in a statement by the coordinator Diaspora and Transnational Studies, Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, Dr Senayon Olaoluwa.

According to him, the discourse was to look at the opportunities that abound in the Nigerian diaspora.

Olaoluwa said the discourse is entitled: ‘The state of the Nigerian diaspora and gender relations in the 21st century,’ adding that the lecture would be held at the institution on Monday.

He said Abike Dabiri would discuss the impacts of having Nigerian diaspora and its effects on the socio-economy of the country.
