Kenya's swimming medal prospect Rebeca Kamau has already qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in 200m individual medley, courtesy of the feat she achieved during the British Championships in April.

"I have trained very well and I am hopeful of getting a medal at the AAG that will give me proper motivation going into the Olympics Games. As usual, the greatest challenge will come from South Africa and Egypt but I consider myself strong enough to be successful," she said.
Kamau will be participate in five events thus the 200m individual medley, 100m breaststroke, 100m butterfly, 200m freestyle and the 50m breaststroke.
In the last All Africa Games in Maputo Jason Dunford, won two gold medals in 100m and 50m butterfly.
The national team head coach Mark Omondi, who doubles as the federation's public relations officer, believes the preparations were good and expect several medals. The first medal hope lies in the women's 100m freestyle, where Slyvia Brunlehner will fly the country's flag.
