Lovers of Star Wars worldwide have something exciting to feel sunny about, as M-Net Movies and MultiChoice are making African television history by introducing a new pop up channel featuring all six epic films from the Star Wars Saga.

"We are thrilled to be bringing Star Wars to audiences in this first-for-Africa television event with DStv. This is a perfect opportunity for families to experience some of the world's most unforgettable characters and stories to screens across the continent," said the Walt Disney Company senior vice president and country manager for Africa Christine Service.

Over a two-week period that started on August 31, fans will be able to enjoy on M-Net Movies channel 109 all their favourite Star Wars battles, plots and iconic characters including Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Maz Kanata played by our very own Oscar winner Lupita

Nyong'o in the upcoming Star Wars:The Force Awakens, due for release in December 2015.
