Brasil Launches Cultural House In Angola

The Cultural House of Brazil in Angola, an in interactive and divulgence of the Brazilian cultural product was inaugurated on Monday in a ceremony led by the Culture minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva, and his Brazilian counterpart, Juca Ferreira.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the undertaking, the Brazilian official stated that it is the materialization of a premise aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries, whose friendship and brotherhood ties are quite historical.

Located in Luanda downtown, the infrastructure occupies the building of the former Grand Hotel Luanda, a transfer of José Eduardo dos Santos Foundation (FESA).

The space has classrooms, rooms for shows, children, exhibitions, gallery of arts, among other compartments, which will serve for the Brazilian cultural agents to promote their products in the Angolan territory.

The building, situated in Cerveira Pereira Street, at Coqueiros ward, benefited from rehabilitation works, keeping, however, its architectural mark of the 40s and 70s of last century.
