The first round match of group B of the African Games between Angolan and Algeria ended in favour of the Angola national senior women's basketball team.

Angola defeated Algeria on Wednesday by 61-51, at the Gymnasium Makelekele, in the first round match of group B of the African Games, taking place in Congo Brazzaville.

The Angolan shooting guard, Ana Gonçalves was the best scorer of the match with 14 points.

Group B is comprised by Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal and Gabon.
