SENATE PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, DAVID MARK
Senate President David Mark has expressed as a disheartening double tragedy to Nigerians, the plane crash which has occurred in Lagos on Thursday (yesterday).
This he has expressed through the statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan in Abuja.
According to Mark, the death of most passengers in the Associated Airline, chartered for the journey, was quite unfortunate at a period when Nigerian were still mourning the death of the late former Governor Segun Agagu.
He pointed out that it is one tragedy that man is tempted to question the essence of human existence but being mortals that human should lack the effrontery to question the creator, adding that we rather give thanks to the Almighty in all things.
He declared however that the entire senate body shared in the pain, praying that God would grant the nation, especially the immediate families of the deceased, the fortitude to bear the painful loss and that the souls of all the departed would rest in peace.
